Job Description
Summary:  Meeker Cooperative is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time Accounting & Billing Clerk.  The Accounting & Billing Clerk will perform the monthly billing process, daily electronic payment processing and the capital credit processes. Position is also required to prepare and analyze reports, complete general accounting and billing duties, and more. 
 
Excellent customer service skills are necessary. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem- solving skills are required. Must be able to maintain accurate records of a large volume.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Prepare the monthly bill calculation, member statements and month end processing.
  • Process and post electronic payment transactions daily.
  • Respond to member inquiries.
  • Perform the capital credit processes.
  • Assist with collections.
  • Prepare invoices for miscellaneous receivables.
  • Prepare reports and analyze financial information as requested.
  • Assist with preparation of the annual budget.
  • Assist auditors as required and prepare information needed in the audit process.
 Education and Experience:  A two-year degree in accounting or equivalent experience is preferred. 
 
Computer Skills:  Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Word is desired.  Experience with accounting/billing software is preferred. Must have the ability to learn industry-specific software.
 
Work Schedule Requirements:  May be asked to work additional hours to meet deadlines.
