In addition to all duties of Administrative Assistant, the third level of the Administrative Support Series is responsible for performing moderately involved clerical and administrative duties. Responsibilities may include collecting, preparing, and reviewing information; processing applications, forms, licenses, permits and other documents; maintaining records and related system or database; public communications including committee minutes.
Positions assigned to Assessor’s Office may be responsible for:
Prepares, maintains, reviews, issues, and/or submits a variety of reports, records, files, forms, applications, databases, licenses, permits, contact lists, meeting minutes, agendas, and other documentation and correspondence; processes payments and bills; enters, researches, compiles, and/or reviews data; and ensures informational accuracy.
Responds to inquiries and requests for information in person or via phone or online systems; maintains calendars; schedules meetings, appointments, activities, or events; maintains department websites and social media platforms; sorts and distributes mail; and greets and directs visitors to assigned locations.
Coordinates with internal and external agencies to disseminate standard documents and correspondence, send notifications, assist with programs or events, send notifications, perform background checks, and/or facilitate related departmental information.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent (GED) and three years administrative support or related experience.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

- Generating assessment and related reports from applicable systems; performing data entry; reviewing and verifying information; accepting payments, issuing receipts, preparing and disseminating forms and other documentation; and responding to inquiries from callers.
- Processing eCRVs and homestead applications.
