LOCATION: The Central Counties Cooperative main office is located in Litchfield, MN. 66 miles west of Minneapolis and 42 miles south of St. Cloud. Litchfield is a community of about 6,600 residents and is the county seat for Meeker County. The Cooperative has a branch location located 2 miles west of Atwater, MN. Central Counties Cooperative’s trade area is located in a prime agricultural area but also has many industrial, retail and commercial businesses. COMPANY HIGH LIGHTS:
The board of Directors of this very financially sound $59 million Cooperative headquartered in Litchfield, MN is seeking a replacement for their retiring CEO-GM. Products and services include: Full line Agronomy services- including dry and liquid fertilizer, NH3, seed, crop protection products, Precision AG technology & custom services. The Cooperative also operates a Lawn & Garden center, Automotive shop, Tire sales / service, Convenience Store & car wash, LP gas, and Bulk petroleum. The Cooperative operates facilities & provides services out of both Litchfield and Atwater.
The cooperative is governed by an 8-person board of directors. 57 full time employees, 12 permanent part time employees and up to 30 seasonal employees provide excellent service to the member patrons. A full line of employee benefits including a 401K plan & profit - sharing plan is offered to employees.
REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred candidates will have an advanced degree or documented experience in lieu of it. Preferred candidates will also have a minimum of 5 years of management level experience and will have experience with agronomy operations and associated services. Experience in LP gas, petroleum and C-Store operations would be helpful. Candidates must possess excellent communication and leadership skills with a thorough understanding of cooperative management, finance, operational controls and strategic planning.
