Description: Production/ Inventory
 
Job Duties:
  • Review shortage reports and determine what manufacturing orders need to be created for the upcoming trailer production schedule. 1 - 3 hours per day.
  • Review shortage reports and determine what manufacturing orders need to be created for the upcoming truck production schedule. Print manufacturing orders for the fabrication department and drawings packets for the truck welding departments various assemblies.2 - 4 hours per day.
  • Create job cut sheet list to help the fabrication department know what was ordered for each job so they can create job bins.½ hour per day.
  • Review scrap report to determine if components need to be reordered. 1/2 hour per day.
  • Review Warehouse “P” Stock Component Reorder List to determine what stock items need to be ordered for the Parts Department. Create Manufacturing Orders for Parts Department Sales Orders and distribute order packets to appropriate departments so items can be manufactured. ½ - 1 hour per day.
  • Enter information from Parts Department cycle count sheets. Make necessary miscellaneous issues and receipts to correct inventory. Double check counted items that need adjustments to help determine why inventory is wrong. ½ hour per day.
  • Maintain Excel spread sheet on Kanban card files. Set inventory levels on Kanban cards according to production levels. Create manufacturing orders from Kanban cards that are turned in on a daily basis from the Warehouse and Production. Create Kanban cards for items that underwent a trailer redesign. Set inventory levels on these items to cover current production levels. 1 – 2 hours per day.
  • Make adjustments to Trailer Manufacturing Orders to correct trailer BOM’s due to addition or deleting of components by doing unplanned issues and receipts.
Hours per day can vary depending production needs.

Education/Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:
Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, Outlook, Database software, ADI Time Keeper, Empower ECI Payroll
