Plastic Assembly/Fabrication - 1st/2nd Shift
SUMMARY: Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepares work to be accomplished by reading shop orders, parts lists, and drawing specifications.

2. Assembles components and parts as assigned by using hand tools and pneumatic wrenches and drills.

3. Maintains count of parts/units that are assembled on a daily basis

4. Inspect quality of each part.

5. Verifies specifications for completed components.

6. Rejects inadequate parts per specification chart.

7. Resolves assembly problems to meet specifications; notifying supervisor if additional resources are needed.

8. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements.

9. Maintains cleanliness of work area.

10. Follows all appropriate safety regulations.

11. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.

12. Packages finished products according to specifications.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· No prior experience or training.

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Reading, Writing, and basic Communication skills.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually loud
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds team lift continually lift and move up to 30 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: Rotational Molding Machines, Fork trucks, pallet jacks, impact and other pneumatic tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.25 - $15.75 per hour
